On September 13, 2012, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held at École primaire Socrates IV to inaugurate their new playground – a project that began nearly 5 years ago with a petition submitted to the Parents Committee by four students in Grade 4 and signed by almost all of their classmates. Their request? “Please build us a fun space for us to play!”

For years, the schoolyard at this campus was a flat asphalt strip, completely barren from end to end. The addition of this playground has had a significantly positive impact on the children at his campus. As one of only two corporate sponsors on this project, Sparklean President, Steve Kritis, was honoured to have been a part of it.
